2021 Grammy Awards postponed as a consequence of ongoing coronavirus issues
The 2021 Grammy Awards cannot continue as planned.
Multiple sources report the annual awards show is being postponed due to coronavirus (COVID-19) concerns as cases increase in Los Angeles and California overall.
The Grammys were originally scheduled for January 31st, but sources like Rolling Stone say organizers are looking into March. The show was already limited, there was no audience, only actors and presenters were allowed on-site, and likely remote acceptance speeches as well.
Beyoncé leads nominations in a total of nine categories, followed by Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa and Roddy Ricch with six apiece. Diplo, Disclosure, Flume, Madeon, and more are available for dance-related awards. See list of nominees here.
The greatest night of music during a pandemic undoubtedly faces major obstacles. Stay tuned for more details.
