Anti-role models and powerful badasses who inspire and entertain us. In this month of black history, we celebrate the fact that more of these superheroes are black than ever before.
Batwoman recently welcomed Javicia Leslie, a black bisexual woman, as the new lead. Black Lightning will end later this year after one of the first black lesbian superheroes was featured on TV with Thunder (Nafessa Williams). Just this week WandaVision and Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and if the comics are any sign of it, she’ll be a real force to be reckoned with.
