Alex Trebek has returned home.
The long-term danger! The host died on November 8th at the age of 80 after battling pancreatic cancer. On Friday, November 20, The Blast released a copy of his death certificate stating that he died at home and was later cremated. It lists his final resting place as Studio City, California, where he lived with his wife of 30 years, Jean Trebek.
“My family and I sincerely thank you all for your compassionate messages and your generosity,” wrote Jean, who shares a son and daughter with Alex, on Instagram on November 11th. “Your comments really touched our hearts. Thank you very much. Very much. Many blessings to everyone, Jean Trebek.”
Danger! The producers announced Alex’s death in a statement on social media, saying at the time that his family had not announced any plans for a service, but that gifts in his memory can go to the humanitarian organization World Vision.
