An animated creep present trailer will make you shudder this Halloween
Shudder published that Creep show animated Halloween teaser. The official title is A Creepshow Animated Special and was first announced last month. However, it appears that there have been some minor changes to the release date. The animated special will premiere on Thursday, October 29, just after 12:01 a.m. ET / 9:01 p.m. PT, exclusively on the horror streaming service in all of its territories and via the Shudder offering within the AMC + package. The previous release date was October 26th.
The animated Halloween special Creepshow contains two short stories. Survivor Type is based on the short story by Stephen King and adapted by Greg Nicotero. Kiefer Sutherland (24, Designated Survivor) plays a man who is determined to stay alive alone on a desert island regardless of the cost. The Twittering from the Circus of the Dead is based on the short story by Joe Hill and was adapted by Melanie Dale. It plays Joey King (The Kissing Booth, The Act) as a teenager, whose family road trip includes a visit to the world’s toughest show.
Greg Nicotero Says: “Halloween wouldn’t be complete without a creepshow. With the help of Stephen and Joe’s father-son team and a fantastic animated format, we can continue the tradition and spirit of Halloween.” Horror fans will most likely appreciate the gesture as the trailer is perfect for all fans of the creepshow franchise and its host, The Creep. We see the creep “animating” the special with his pen and laughing to himself as he flips through the pages.
Season two of Creepshow was suspended due to the public health crisis, but animation was a way to get around all of that. Craig Engler, General Manager of Shudder, said: “Although the second season, which is now in production, has been delayed due to Covid, Greg and his team were able to create this fantastic special so that everyone can enjoy a little creep show.” Halloween season. “With the short teaser here, you can imagine that it is only a matter of time before Shudder releases the first full trailer for the animated Halloween special.
It has just been announced that Mayhem and Everly director Joe Lynch will take on a segment for the Creepshow season in late September. Lynch shared the news on social media in late September, noting that it was “surreal” to work with Greg Nicotero and the crew. As of this writing, the second season is expected to premiere exclusively on Shudder sometime in 2021. For now, all we have to do is wait and see when they’ll be able to wrap things up and move on to the post-production process. A Creepshow Animated Special is being produced by Kartell with Monster Agency Productions, Octopie, Taurus Entertainment and Striker Entertainment.
