Black Panther 2 needs Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta as one of many dangerous guys

Marvel Studios wants to bring in Narcos: Mexico Star Tenoch Huerta as the villain in the superhero sequel Black panther 2 Production is scheduled to start next summer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Marvel is preparing to shoot the film in Atlanta starting July 2021. It has also been reported that Huerta is in talks to play one of the movie’s antagonists, though it is still unclear what character he would be playing.

THR’s sources also claim that Letitia Wright, Lupita Nyong’o, Winston Duke and Angela Bassett will all return to repeat their roles from the first Black Panther. According to the report, Wright will play a “more prominent role” in the sequel. While Marvel hasn’t confirmed anything, fans have speculated that Wright could take on the new lead role if Shuri emerges as the new Black Panther.

“We’re still grieving for Chad, so I don’t even want to think about it,” Wright told Net-a-Porter last month, addressing the Shuri rumors. “The thought of doing it without him is kind of weird. We’re mourning right now, so it’s trying to find the light in the middle.”

With the sequel in its early stages, there is still no word on the plot details, which makes it unclear how the franchise will continue after Chadwick Boseman’s death in August. The actor’s death came as a complete shock to Boseman’s fans and colleagues as he kept his condition private. It was only after his death that it became public knowledge that he had been fighting colon cancer since 2016. At this point, Boseman was preparing to return to Black Panther 2, which was already in the works due to the success of the original. Marvel has since confirmed that CGI will not be used to posthumously include Boseman in the sequel.

The original Black Panther was an instant blockbuster hit when it hit theaters in 2018 and ultimately grossed over $ 1.3 billion at the box office. Directed by Ryan Coogler, Boseman played Boseman as T’Challa, King of Wakanda, who is challenged by supervillain Killmonger (Michael B. Jordan), a black ops soldier hoping for a global revolution. The film, which was also a hit during the award season, was named Best Picture at the Academy Awards and took home three of its seven nominations.

Some other anticipated Marvel movies are expected to start production over the next year, adding to the ever-growing MCU. Taika Waititi will direct the sequel to Thor: Love and Thunder. Filming is scheduled to begin in Australia in January. The next Ant-Man film and James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are also drawn in for 2021 shoots.

Meanwhile, Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange have already started filming in the Multiversum of Madness. The next edition of the MCU to be released after a full year without any release is Black Widow, which is slated to premiere on May 7, 2021. That news comes from The Hollywood Reporter.
