Coachella producer in talks to develop a website for mass vaccination
Vaccinations are starting to begin, but they still have to be given much faster than they are now to reach everyone, all 328 million people in the US, on time. To date, there have been dozens of tweets and armchairs about how the concert industry could move faster with their know-how in logistics and planning. It appears that Riverside County has taken note.
“V. Manuel Perez, director of Riverside County, said he was discussing with Goldenvoice, producer of the Coachella and Stagecoach music festivals, how to use the company’s expertise to create a mass vaccination site,” writes Desert Sun.
“We know what you can do with the concerts, all the logistics and planning,” said Perez during a board meeting almost three weeks ago.
Massive sites like Disneyland and Dodger Stadium are already being set up for mass vaccination, so Polo Grounds in Indio could be next.
