Coachella Valley Music and Arts Pageant formally canceled for Spring 2021
Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is officially canceled.
Dr. Riverside County’s health officer Cameron Kaiser has just signed an order that seals the fate of Coachella and Coachella Stagecoach for spring 2021. The decision was made due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Kaiser tweeted the news, adding, “We look forward to when events could return.”
Although Coachella has not yet officially announced the cancellation or new dates, the momentum seems to have shifted to autumn 2021. Palm Springs Mayor Christy Holstege previously stated, “We hope these events will be postponed until the fall of this year.”
Most recently, Riverside County Supervisor V. Manuel Perez was reportedly in talks with Coachella and the producer of Stagecoach Goldenvoice to create a place for mass vaccinations.
Stay tuned for more information.
Due to the pandemic, the health officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser today (Jan. 29) issued a public health ordinance canceling the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Stagecoach Country Music festivals scheduled for April 2021. We look forward to the return of the events. https://t.co/YAIn8uTea9
