Demi Lovato stars in NBC Comedy About Help Group for Meals Issues


Demi Lovato has her eye on her first series TV appearance since her days on Disney Channel.

NBC has given Hungry, a comedy with a camera, a put-pilot commitment in which “friends who belong to a food group help one another They are looking for love, success and the perfect thing in the fridge that makes everything better, ”TVLine learned.

Lovato has spoken openly about her personal nutritional issues in previous interviews, including a lifelong battle with bulimia.

Lovato not only plays in Hungry, but also produces the Universal Television comedy alongside the writer Suzanne Martin. Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner for Hazy Mills; and Scooter Braun, James Shin and Scott Manson for SB Projects.

Lovato began her 35mm career with Barney and Friends (2002-2004) before appearing in the Disney Channel’s short-form series As the Bell Rings (2007-2008). Disney gave Lovato her first regular TV role on the series in 2009, casting her as the Sonny With a Chance title character, though Lovato’s sudden departure from the series resulted in her being canceled in 2011. Before separating from the House of Mouse, Lovato starred in a number of the original Disney Channel films, including Camp Rock (2008), Princess Protection Program (2009) and Camp Rock 2 (2010).

Since then, Lovato has got memorable recurring roles on shows like Glee, where she played Naya Rivera’s short-lived love interest Dani, and Will & Grace, where she played Will’s replacement Jenny.
