J. Cole releases new album The Off-Season next week

J. Cole has announced that his next studio album will be out next week: The Off-Season will be out on May 14th. The record serves as the successor of the North Carolina rapper to KOD from 2018 as well as to his Dreamville compilation Revenge of The Dreamers from 2019 III. Here is J. Cole’s announcement.

J. Cole’s KOD follow-up was dubbed The Fall Off as the last song on KOD was subtitled “Intro to ‘The Fall-Off'”. Additionally, his 2020 singles “The Climb Back” and “Lion King on Ice” were billed as The Fall Off’s first two songs. However, a recent teaser by Cole indicated that The Off-Season could precede The Fall Off.

Last year before Cole released “The Climb Back” and “Lion King on Ice”, Cole shared “Snow on tha Bluff,” which was considered a diss track against Noname. He later declined his criticism of Noname. In response, Noname published a J. Cole Diss entitled “Song 33” and she later wrote, “I’m not proud of myself for answering.”
