Kitten Bowl 2021 Photographs: Meet the First Cats from Adopted Cats

Hours before the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers compete on Sunday, two far more cruel teams will compete in the Hallmark Channel’s eighth annual Kitten Bowl.

Beth Stern will again host the Mane Event at Hallmark Channel Stadium, with Cameron Mathison and Tamera Mowry-Housley joining for further comment. The broadcast starts at 2 / 1c.

In addition to highlighting the contributions of cats to the world of sport, the Kitten Bowl draws attention to the importance of caring for and adopting cats in need. Although the four-legged players in this year’s game have all been adopted, the Bowl’s official website includes a link to the North Shore Animal League America, “the world’s largest non-killing animal rescue and adoption organization.”

Of course, these kittens not only compete against each other, but also against Puppy Bowl XVII, at least for ratings, as Animal Planet is broadcasting its dog-centric soccer event at the same time as the Kitten Bowl.
