Marilyn Manson of Label dropped after allegations of abuse by a number of girls

Loma Vista Recordings stopped promoting Marilyn Manson’s music after Evan Rachel Wood accused the musician of abuse. The label had released Manson’s last two albums, Heaven Upside Down 2017 and WE ARE CHAOS 2020. When achieved by Pitchfork, the label shared the following statement:

Given the troubling allegations by Evan Rachel Wood and other women naming Marilyn Manson as their abuser, Loma Vista will stop promoting its current album with immediate effect. Because of these developments, we have also decided not to work with Marilyn Manson on future projects.

In a statement, Evan Rachel Wood claimed that Manson “started nursing [her] when [she] was a teenager ”and that the musician was“ terribly abused [her] for years. “She also wrote,” I have been brainwashed and rigged into submission. I’m done living in fear of retribution, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and invoke the many industries who enabled him before he ruined more lives. I stand by the many victims who will no longer be silent. “Wood had previously spoken about surviving domestic violence, but refused to name the alleged perpetrator.

Vanity Fair released Wood’s testimony, as well as testimony from four other women who commented on abuse and other experiences with Marilyn Manson.

In 2018, one case of sexual assault against Manson was publicly disclosed in 2011. His attorney at the time denied the claims “categorically”. It was also revealed that Manson had faced battery and lethal weapon attack charges but was not charged as the California statute of limitations had expired.
