Michael B. Jordan reveals the greatest risk in his career
Michael B. Jordan fully accepts his role as a manager in Hollywood – and the responsibility that comes with it.
With an exclusive look at the latest issue of Wonderland magazine, the Black Panther star feels “done” as a gatekeeper in Hollywood and wants to use his platform to elevate the next generation.
He thought about the heavy pressure that comes with being a trailblazer when he spoke to the release this month.
Jordan said: “I feel like we’re often seen as goalkeepers now, don’t we? Like we did it and we’re here.”
The 33-year-old continued, “And now it’s like we, as gatekeepers, have a responsibility to make some kind of change when it comes to making films and the stories we tell, how we behave and the culture that offers other opportunities that we may not have had and holding brands and partners accountable for their progressiveness.
He said this year was “insightful and enlightening” about his influence in Hollywood and how he can “thrive” using his platform to take things even further.
