Paul Bettany used WandaVision to go deep into the core humanity of Imaginative and prescient

One of the strangest characters in the entire MCU is the Android vision, developed by Tony Stark as the perfect robot, but ultimately got much more complex. Now Vision is headlining his own MCU project. WandaVision. In an interview, Paul Bettany, who plays Vision, revealed how the upcoming series helped him understand the fundamental nature of his character.

“You know what? That’s vision. I was really worried about who Vision is, but then I realized,” Actually, vision was partly Ultron. Partly Jarvis, part Tony Stark. “He has always become something, and there is always an addition. He has grown up. We watch him [be] born for God’s sake. And then he’s naive but omnipotent and becomes more and more human as the films progress. Because that’s the kind of center of his interest: humanity. The irony is that he’s getting kind of superhuman … I realized this could take a little Dick Van Dyke, a little Hugh Laurie, a little Bryan Cranston. Because what is vision is at its core just decent and friendly and really in love with Wanda. ”

While vision is technically a machine, his relationship with Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlet Witch helped him understand the softer human emotions like love and longing. WandaVision will explore these issues even further as Wanda tries to use her powers to bring Vision back from the dead and construct an artificial reality in which to live peacefully, modeled after classic sitcoms.

As the series begins like this, Wanda’s illusions will soon fall apart. As soon as that happens Paul Bettany In a previous interview, it was announced that WandaVision will transform into a full-fledged MCU action blockbuster.

“We’ve raced through the decades and hit different sitcom genres and then Vision starts to think this is going to be a little strange and in the end you end up in [a] full of MCU action movie. ”

Traditionally, Marvel television series like Luke Cage and Daredevil had little overlap with the MCU films. WandaVision is set to change that as showrunner Kevin Feige has confirmed that the series will lead directly to the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Spider-Man 3.

It is less certain whether or not there will be a place for Vision in the MCU after the end of WandaVision. Bettany has stated that he would love to play Vision as long as the character has a place in the franchise. It remains to be seen whether WandaVision will end with Vision finally settling this time around or continuing its adventures into the next phase of the MCU.

WandaVision was written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman. Elizabeth Olsen plays Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as Agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The series premieres on January 15th on Disney +. This message is from Screenrant.
