Reagan Biopic provides Creed’s Scott Stapp as Frank Sinatra
Any new information about this film somehow makes more and less sense.
On the latest casting news that can’t possibly be real yet somehow is, Creed front man Scott Stapp will play Frank Sinatra in the coming Ronald Reagan biography Reagan. Excuse me as I print this information on 500 t-shirts and hand it out as a public service in my neighborhood.
As reported by Billboard via Spin, Stapp will portray the legendary pop singer who publicly supported Reagan in the 1980 elections and donated $ 4 million for his campaign. Reagan later awarded Sinatra the Presidential Medal of Freedom, an event I desperately hope will not be recreated in the film for any other reason Dennis Quaid plays Reagan and I need to see Dennis Quaid give Scott Stapp a medal. It just feels right.
“Sinatra in performance mode was an exercise in restraint,” Stapp told Billboard in a statement. “He had that steely, stylish boast and his very presence ruled a room. I was thrilled to join the cast and loved the attention to detail, style and overall production on set. ”

Reagan is headed by Sean McNamara (3 Ninjas: High Noon on Mega Mountain, Cats & Dogs 3: Paws Unite!) and also stars Penelope Ann Miller as Nancy Reagan, Kevin Dillon as studio head Jack L. Warner and Jon Voight when Viktor Novikov, a Soviet man known to have been arrested from leaving the USSR to marry his American fiancé and reunited with her at a summit meeting between Reagan and Mikhail Gorbachev (the later divorced couple). His wife claimed he had just married her to escape from the Soviet Union). Stapp’s casting as Sinatra doesn’t make any recognizable sense in any dimension, but I’m glad he joined the film and I can’t wait to see it. Reagan is currently filming after being temporarily closed in October by the pandemic, and is set to be released next year.
