Saved by the Bell EP to strike the best steadiness with Revival – Zack’s Brick Telephone can also be making a comeback

Old phone who dis?

TVLine has an exclusive first look at the resurrected Saved by the Bell, in which new protagonist Daisy (played by Haskiri Velazquez) uses the iconic brick phone from Zack Morris. That’s one of the many Easter egg fans of the original NBC comedy found in the Peacock sequel that follows a new generation in Bayside while catching up with the ’93 class.

“As a spectator, if I were to prepare for a Saved by the Bell [revival]I would be pretty baffled if I didn’t see any of the original cast, find out what’s going on with everyone now, and see little inside jokes and Easter eggs, ”showrunner Tracey Wigfield told TVLine. That being said, there was really a balance we had to strike in the writer’s room to make sure we had enough time with this new cast and really invested in them, and we created a show that can really stand on its own when you Never seen the original from Saved by the Bell. This could still be a comedy that everyone would want to see. That was very important, and then we thought of the OG cast and nostalgia as a kind of icing on the cake. “

In the new SBTB, California Governor Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) gets into hot water for closing too many low-income high schools and then proposes that the affected students go to the best-funded schools in the world State to Send – Including Bayside High. The influx of new students gives the privileged Bayside kids – including Zack and Kelly’s son Mac (Roswell, Mitchell Hoog of New Mexico) and Jessie’s son Jamie (Belmont Cameli of Empire) – a much-needed dose of reality. Elizabeth Berkley Lauren and Mario Lopez are series regulars; Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen and Lark Voorhies guest stars.

Saved by the Bell premieres Wednesday November 25th, with all 10 episodes published at once. (While the first episode will be available at Peacock’s free level, the rest will only be available to Premium level subscribers.)
