SNL: Alex Moffat succeeds Jim Carrey as President-elect Joe Biden – WATCH
Just hours after Jim Carrey announced that he would no longer portray President-elect Joe Biden on Saturday night, the late-night comedy series introduced its sequel – and it’s a real cast member.
Alex Moffat, best known for his portrayal of Eric Trump, took over from Carrey in the mid-season finale this weekend. He joined Maya Rudolph’s Kamala Harris on stage and admitted that he looked a little different.
“I’m like Colonel Sanders,” he explained. “Every time you see me, I’m a different guy. Next year there is a good chance this time, I’ll be Mario Lopez.
“I just want to let the American people know one thing: they will soon have a real leader again,” he continued. “And you will have the most diverse cabinet in the history of American politics.”
It was at this point that the Vice President-elect interfered with her promise to the American people. “I’ll make sure Joe never specifies what he means by” diverse “,” she said. “This is my Christmas present for you, America.”
