The Problem: Double Brokers Recap: If the Veterans hearth extra photographs at one another, a participant turns into DQ-ed for good
Only with The Challenge can a stupid frozen food fight turn into serious drama.
Wednesday’s episode produced one of the most dangerous stunts, sending not one but two challengers straight to the hospital. But that wasn’t the only fireworks display we’d see in the third episode of Double Agents.
Josh and Devin, who come from a little spit between CT and Kaycee, get in after a simple “Big Brother sucks!” Taunt leads to a blown seal from Josh. (BB19 live feeder, didn’t we suffer enough?) Though the drama didn’t get physical, it impacted the week’s house vote, sending two seasoned friends into an elimination that looked as stressful as Josh’s childish outburst felt . Let’s sum it all up.
After last week’s shocking team change, Kyle tells us he feels betrayed by Fessy’s alliance. (Wait a minute: Kyle, you lied about your voice, dude, but okay, go.) He’s now planning to join CT, Wes, and Devin, aka the “back against the wall” challengers.
Fessy lets Kyle and a few others know that the “secret ballot” isn’t that secret after all. Kyle realizes his lie, but then tells Wes that the entire “stupid brigade” tried to turn the vote on him. (When did the Young Bucks get a new nickname? Did I sleep on them ?!) Wes is understandably totally exhausted; he thought the YBs were his friends. A fight breaks out and Kyle calls Fes a million times, but that heat isn’t Fessy’s only problem. Cory expresses disappointment that Fessy told the house a great secret before telling his own alliance members. It only took three episodes for this season to be deliciously twisted.
CHALLENGE ENABLED | In “Road Kill” two teams compete against each other on a semi-trailer while it is traveling at 80 km / h. Each duo has to throw the other team from the side (into the net, of course), but for the first time in the history of the challenge the stunt is performed without harnesses. Here are the highlights:
* Devin / Nicole draws against Kam / Kyle with a shoulder injury for Nicole.
* Wes / Natalie defeat Nany / Josh even though all four players end up in the net.
* Mechie / Liv against Tori / Cory ends with another shoulder injury, this time for newcomer Liv.
* The big dogs CT and Fessy compete against each other, but unfortunately their fight is over.
Leroy and Kaycee end up with the W for their match against Amber M. and Nelson.
Back in the house, the group finds that all of Nicole’s belongings are gone. She was sent home because of her injury and left Devin a lonely soldier. However, Liv returns but is waiting for a radiological report.
And then perhaps the stupidest fight in the history of the challenge takes place. The editors clearly agree, because Whitney Houston’s “So Emotional” drops while Josh scolds and raves like a – wait for it – meatballs! Go on!
CONSIDERATION | Devin is on defense thanks to all the drama, but Wes tells him he wants Tori and Cory to be nominated. At the house meeting, the group has no idea whether it is a man or a girl’s elimination day as Nicole’s DQ may have messed up the schedule. Devin is the first to fire a shot and inform the group that he is shooting at Tori and Cory, which leads Josh to speak out against Devin. The house votes, and when Leroy and Kaycee get the results, Devin is indeed the compromised agent.
THE CRATER | Leroy and Kaycee take a big step in their big decision and choose two-time champion Wes to compete against his friend. In “Snapping Point” the opponents are tied together with a rope. You’ll have to run through a series of posts and detonate your station at the end of the course. Wes begins digging a hole in the sand to use as an anchor for his weight. It’s a stalemate for a while, both players struggling to withdraw the other. Devin then not only takes the lead, but seals the deal. He wins the match and the golden skull and sends Wes on his way.
Devin has now qualified for the finals, but he must first select a new partner. He chooses Tori (to Natalie? Really !?) and leaves the Survivor winner for Cory. “Getting a gold skull probably puts a target on my back, but guess what? I had a target on my back for the whole game … Now I have a golden skull in the center of that target. Now watch me go to work, ”says Devin.
Continue to play.
