Try Flight Attendant Star and EP Kaley Cuoco’s emotional response to her first Golden Globes nomination
The flight attendant’s Wednesday morning has taken a big boost and it doesn’t seem like it is landing anytime soon. #AirplanePuns
Kaley Cuoco, the title star and executive producer of HBO Max’s lively playwright-thriller, was rightfully emotional about the Golden Globe nominations for himself and the show, and husband Karl Cook captured it all in the wee hours of the west coast.
Cuoco’s own Globes nod (for best actress in a musical or comedy series) marks her first entry into this prize race. (In 12 seasons of the Big Bang Theory, only Jim Parsons and Johnny Galecki were ever nominated for a globe, with the latter winning the award once. Likewise, Parsons, Galecki and Mayim Bialik were the only series regulars to ever make the Emmys short list, with Parsons wins three times.)
As such, Cuoco’s tearful joy is fully justified as shown below.
“Thank you @goldenglobes #hfpa I will never forget this moment and I can’t stop crying,” she wrote alongside the video. “So proud of my entire team @flightattendantonmax ✈️ !!!!! YES NORMAN! ???? ”(Yes, Norman is the name of Cuoco’s production company, named after their longtime canine companion who recently passed away.)
Cuoco was a TVLine Actress of the Year for her work on HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant, which was renewed for season two in December.
