Uncle Frank’s Sophia Lillis is simply as shocked as anybody that she makes so many historic items
As mentioned before, we’ll see Sophia Lillis all over again through a vision of the past in Uncle Frank, set in 1973. In the story, she plays 18-year-old Beth Bledsoe, whom she looked up to all her life, her uncle Frank (Paul Bettany). After leaving her home in South Carolina to study in New York, where Frank works as a professor, she learns a secret he has kept from his family all his life: that he is gay and has a relationship with him another man (Peter Macdissi) for a few years. The story plays out with an excellent balance of comedy and drama and features a stellar cast that includes Stephen Root, Margot Martindale, Judy Greer, Steve Zahn, and Lois Smith.
