Worst season for cooks in America for the reason that winner was arrested for baby homicide
Food Network has pulled out all content related to the 20th season of Worst Cooks in America following the arrest of winner Ariel Robinson for the death of a child.
Robinson (29) and husband Jerry Robinson (34) are murdered for child abuse because of the death of their three-year-old adopted daughter, reports the television news channel WHNS. The child, identified as Victoria Smith, was found unresponsive at the couple’s home in Simpsonville, SC, on Jan. 14 after dying from blunt violent injuries, according to a medical examination.
Since the arrest, Season 20 episodes and all related clips have disappeared from the Food Network’s Discovery +, Hulu and YouTube pages. The network has not yet commented on the situation.
Robinson won $ 25,000 in the last edition of Worst Cooks in America, which follows contestants with admittedly poor cooking skills as they vie for the grand prize. The performers endure a cooking boot camp under the supervision of a celebrity chef while trying to serve the best of the worst to avoid excretion.
Season 20, hosted by chefs Anne Burrell and Alex Guarnaschelli, originally aired in the summer of 2020. Robinson was declared the winner in the final on August 2nd. Season 21, starring Burrell and guest mentor Carla Hall, premiered on the Food Network on January 3, 2021.
