Zack Snyder: “No plans” to make new DC movies after Snyder Minimize
However, get ready to drink “the entire elixir” of the Justice League.
Zack SnyderThe long-awaited Director’s Cut of 2017 Justice League, appropriately titled Zack Snyder’s Justice Leaguecomes to HBO Max in March after three years of fierce fan speculation and rumors. However, Snyder recently made it clear that the release of the almost mythical Snyder Cut doesn’t necessarily mean he’s returning to the cinematic universe of DC.
In an interview with Comic Book Debate, the director stated that there are currently no plans for him to make any more superhero films using DC’s iconic character roster, while also pointing out that he is not against the idea:
“Look, I never thought I’d be here to do that. I didn’t think I’d finish the Justice League … The truth is and a lot has been said about it and I have no problem, this is an old movie. This is a year old movie that I’m working on. The DC Universe branched out and did its own thing and that’s fine … what I did and what was my vision for what I wanted to do with these characters and the journey I wanted them to go on As you know, I’ve planned more films – five films or so – but I’m busy. I have big plans. Is it cool that the fans have so much faith in the flight path? Yeah it’s amazing and I couldn’t be happier and I look forward to seeing you the Justice League so you can truly drink all of the Justice League’s elixir. But would I go on? I have no plan for it. But like I said, I didn’t think I’d be here, so who knows? ”
Snyder is indeed busy with his zombie action film Army of the Dead It’s slated to hit Netflix sometime this year, and a prequel movie is currently in the works. He continued to serve as executive producer for the DC Universe films, including Wonder Woman 1984 and James Gunncomes The suicide squad. Whether I’m ready to drink the entire elixir of Zack Snyder’s Justice League or not, the four-episode mini-series event is set to explode on HBO Max in just a few weeks.
